Why Moradok Law

What makes our approach different

We have built our practice around one idea: that legal matters touching a family's legacy deserve thoughtful, patient handling.

Plain Language Throughout

Legal processes can feel opaque. We explain each step clearly, without unnecessary terminology, so you always know where you stand.

Your Pace, Not Ours

We do not press for quick decisions. Estate and inheritance matters often arise during difficult periods — we are here when you are ready.

Confidential & Discreet

Every enquiry and consultation is handled with full discretion. Your family's circumstances are treated with the privacy they deserve.

Grounded in Thai Law

Our practice is focused specifically on inheritance and estate matters under Thai civil and commercial law, providing depth rather than breadth.

Personal Point of Contact

You work with a named lawyer throughout your matter — not a rotating team. Familiarity with your situation helps us serve you better.

Clear, Fixed Fees

We outline our fees before any work begins, so there are no surprises. Transparent pricing is part of a respectful client relationship.

Speak with Us

Have a question about your estate or a family member's affairs?

A brief conversation can often bring considerable clarity. We are happy to listen and help you understand your position before you decide on anything.

Common Questions

Things people often ask us

Do I need a will if I have family who will inherit?
Without a will, Thai law determines how your estate is divided among statutory heirs. This may not reflect your personal wishes — particularly if you have step-children, unmarried partners, or assets in multiple countries. A will gives you the ability to set out your own intentions clearly.
How long does estate administration typically take in Thailand?
The duration depends on the complexity of the estate and whether there is a will in place. Straightforward matters with a valid will and cooperative heirs may conclude within a few months. More involved cases, particularly those requiring court appointment of an estate administrator, can take longer. We will give you a realistic picture at the outset.
Can foreigners make a valid will in Thailand?
Yes. Foreign nationals can make a will in Thailand covering their Thai-based assets. We advise on the proper form under the Civil and Commercial Code and can assist in coordinating with legal advisers in other countries if your estate crosses borders.
What happens if heirs disagree about the estate?
Disagreements between heirs are more common than many families expect. We can advise you on your position, assist in negotiating an agreed resolution where possible, and represent your interests formally if matters need to go before a court. We approach these situations with care, knowing the emotional weight involved.
What are your fees and how are they structured?
We offer clear, fixed fees for each service. A will and estate planning consultation starts at ฿2,000, estate administration support from ฿6,600, and inheritance matter representation from ฿9,800. We discuss the scope and likely costs with you before any engagement, so you can make an informed decision without feeling any pressure.
Is everything I share with you confidential?
Yes. All communications between you and Moradok Law are protected by legal professional privilege. We take confidentiality seriously and will not share your details or your family's circumstances with anyone without your consent.
