A bilingual family with assets in Thailand and Germany
The Situation
A Thai-German family needed to arrange the estate of a parent who held a condominium in Bangkok and a bank account in Munich. They were uncertain which legal system applied to what, and how to proceed without making costly errors.
What We Did
We handled the Thai estate component — court appointment of an administrator, transfer of the condominium title, and closure of the Thai bank accounts — while coordinating with a German notary for the European element. We prepared documentation in both Thai and English throughout.
The Outcome
The Thai estate was fully administered within five months. The family had a clear record of all steps taken and a complete file of documents. They described the experience as considerably less stressful than they had anticipated.

A disputed inheritance among three siblings
The Situation
Following a parent's death, three siblings disagreed about the validity of a will that had been prepared shortly before the parent's death. One sibling believed undue influence had been present. All three were under considerable emotional strain.
What We Did
We represented one of the siblings, reviewing the will and the circumstances of its execution. We advised on the legal position carefully and facilitated a structured mediation between the parties. Court proceedings were initiated but ultimately not needed.
The Outcome
An agreed division was reached between the siblings without a contested hearing. While not all parties were entirely satisfied, a workable arrangement was documented and executed. The client appreciated having their interests clearly and steadily represented throughout.
